General information:
Karsibór is a fishing settlement with a population of about 900, situated on the separate island, on the south bank of Stara Świna River.
The first written information about Karsibór (known this time as Caseburg) comes from the 13th century.
Since 1960 the settlement is included to Świnoujście as its suburb. There is an old medieval church with an altar from the 15th century. There are approximately 44 small islands and areas for yachting and canoeing. There is ferry service connecting Karsibór with the mainland. The fishing basin serves for local fishing boats and yachts.
