General information:
Jelitkowo is a S suburb of Gdansk situated about 2 miles SE of
Sopot. It is a summer resort and a fishing settlement. The first
written information about Jelitkowo as a fishing settlement comes
from 1480. In the second half of the 19th century a seaside resort
developed here. Till now there are a few fishermens' houses built
in the 19th century.
