A two day conference to highlight the major security challenges currently facing various Asian Ports
Singapore is to host Port Security Summit Asia organised by Active Communications International (ACI) on the 12th and 13th September 2012. Maritime port authorities, port operators, coast guard authorities, customs officials, law enforcement agencies, security companies and defence research institutes will convene to discuss the latest solutions to counter constant security threats like terrorism, drugs, people and contraband. The aim of the exclusive meeting is to keep Asian ports abreast of the ISPS Code updates and developments and latest cutting-edge technologies utilised for port security, as well as to provide a plan of action to streamline and optimise port and terminal security. Topics covered will address the integration of vessel-going and land-based security and waterfront security management as well as some case study examples to analyse security management and emergency incident response.
