Project Website Short Sea Ship of the Future launched

This week the project website Short Sea Ship of the Future was launched, www.sss2025.eu The website provides insight into the expectations of the maritime cluster in terms of future developments in the short sea ship. Short-sea vessels are defined as "all commercial vessels operating within the two hundred mile limit."The project Short Sea Ship of the future is an European cooperation with involvement of HME and CMTI.

The progress, research and analysis which are done in the project can be found on www.sss2025.eu. The website provides insight into developments and discusses background information underlying this. From three principles is looked at the short sea ship of the future: economics, ecology and technology. These three assumptions are made via the ECO triangle as shown in the picture above.

The interactive website also provides an opportunity to give feedback. It was decided to ask for feedback on technical issues to clarify which developments have the best future prospects. You can also leave questions or comments, your opinion is welcome.
